High Speed Steel Taper Tap chamfer is 7 to 10 pitches in length.Especially suited for tapping difficult to machine metals.Distributes the cutting load over the greatest number of threads (reducing torque) and is the easiest tap to start. They also require longer travel than other types of chamfer to produce full threads.
